Washington, Benton and Madison County leadership are are asking us increase our sales tax to the highest in Arkansas to begin jail construction.​

What they aren't telling us is who will pay the increased maintenance costs for years to come.

As Neighbors Against New Taxation, we encourage our community to vote AGAINST these ballot questions.

Sales tax discourages shoppers from other areas and  places a larger burden on those of us who are already struggling to make ends meet with: 

• higher rental costs

• higher utility costs

• higher grocery prices

So what can we do?
